The YMCA
Cayman Islands is expanding its after-school programme to a new site
at the Field of Dreams. This structured programme will provide a
variety of active learning opportunities, designated homework time
and recreational activities along with all the fun and excitement
that students have come to expect from the Y. Character development,
homework help, sports and recreation, healthy snacks, teambuilding
exercises, STEM activities and creative arts are all elements of the
programme.

Available
for students ages 5 to 12-years old, the new programme will run from
3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday in accordance with the 2019-2020 school
calendar. The fee is $12 per day without transportation and $15 per
day with transportation from specific, nearby schools.

“The
Field of Dreams After-School programme gives children a change of
pace and scenery from that of the school environment, while still
providing them with the opportunity to learn, stay active and make
new friends,” said Jenny Stuesser, Programme Director.

Registration
for the Y After-School programme takes place every Monday to Friday
from 11:00am to 5:00pm at the Field of Dreams and registrations are
accepted on a monthly basis.
