MBB Preview: Mocs Host Mainland Version of Cayman Islands Classic
- 103-51 (.669) in "in-season" tournaments. Won 36 titles including six of the last nine in such events.
- The 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio (22/7) was the best in a game since 3.7 on Feb. 1, 2016 against The Citadel with 22 assists against just six miscues in the 125-85 victory.
- Three-point shooting was a key factor in the win over Hiwassee. The Tigers packed in a zone and after a 1-7 start from beyond the arc. The Mocs went 13-20, 65.0 percent, the rest of the way opening the paint where London was dominant. Five different UTC shooters made multiple triples led by Duane Moss' three (Dylan Brewster 2, Rodney Chatman 2, Makinde London 2 & Nat Dixon 2). The Mocs are shooting 38.9 percent (28-72) from 3pt range for the season making 9.3 per contest.
