Grand Cayman – The Public Health Department reported 779 new positive PCR tests for COVID-19, over the two-day period of 19-20 January 2022.
The daily breakdown of these numbers was as follows 371 on Wednesday, 19 January, and 408 on Thursday, 20 January.
Meanwhile 17 COVID-19 patients were hospitalised in the Cayman Islands on Friday, 21 January. Three new in-patients were included in this number while three were discharged.
Eight new cases of COVID were reported in the Sister Islands on 19 January and a further ten on 20 January.
