USA: Act Now: Arts & Culture Funding at Risk

Dear AACT Friends,
We are sharing this urgent advocacy alert from the American Alliance of Museumsbecause we believe it's relevant to the entire cultural community... including theatres. Many of our members partner with libraries and museums to offer performances, workshops, and educational programs. Cuts to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) could have wide-reaching effects.
We encourage you to take a few minutes today to call your U.S. Representative and ask them to support federal cultural funding.
What's Happening?
According to the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), Representatives Dina Titus (D-NV-01) and Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR-01) are circulating a letter urging the Administration to reconsider an executive order that would significantly cut the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
The deadline for members of Congress to sign onto the letter is Friday, March 28... that’s tomorrow!
Calling your Representative today is the most effective action you can take.
