The European Parliament will this week set up a Special Committee on Cancer. EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber had called for an intensified EU effort to beat cancer, and the Special Committee will aim to step up efforts to improve treatment and strengthen research efforts across the EU.

The EPP Group is also urging Europeans to get involved, with the #EUCanBeatCancer campaign.
