Eric Seale originally hails from the Bluegrass of Lexington, KY. His career has had a focus on directing and administration, but also includes extensive work as a performer, designer, and producer. He is currently in his fourth season as artistic director for Hickory Community Theatre in Hickory, NC, but previously served as the artistic managing director of Central Kentucky Theatre and as artistic director of Actors Guild of Lexington. A sampling of his directing credits includes The Squirrels, Ride the Cyclone, Kinky Boots, The Play That Goes Wrong, Macbeth, Something Rotten, The Weir, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, A Life in the Theatre, King Lear, End Days, and The Pillowman. As an actor, his personal highlights include Cyrano, A Comedy of Errors, Seminar, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs. Eric has also worked as a designer in multiple theatrical disciplines as well as working as a professional graphic designer.
