Cayman: NCVO and 3 Girls & a Kiln launch “Love Banks” project
Grand Cayman— — The NCVO
and 3 Girls & a Kiln are teaming up to decorate ‘Love Banks’
to help raise the 1.6 million needed to operate by October 2019. The
event will take place on 22 August from 6pm-8pm, and for a CI$65
donation, attendees will be able to glaze a 'Love Bank' while
enjoying some bubbles and bites. Each ‘Love Bank’ will be
registered with a specific donation location to encourage community
members to visit and contribute to a great cause.
Tickets for the event can be purchased
at 3 Girls and a Kiln in Camana Bay and The NCVO or by email:
ncvo@org.ky
In operation since 1975, the NCVO
currently runs the Jack & Jill Nursery and Miss Nadine’s
Pre-school; in addition to the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster
Home; Caring Cousins, a student lunch assistance programme; 2
scholarship programmes; and The New to You Bargain Shop. In addition
to regular operating expenses, the money raised will be used to make
much-needed renovations to the schools and foster home.
“The NCVO is immensely appreciative
of 3 Girls & a Kiln’s willingness to have the Love Banks be
part of the “Many Hearts for Little Hands” fundraising campaign.
We are certain the Cayman Islands community will rise to the
challenge and help us achieve our goal,” CEO Miriam Foster.
It is an exciting time for growth at
the NCVO; and your help is needed! With the community’s “many
hearts” supporting it, the work of the NCVO can thrive and continue
to make a positive impact in the lives of the most vulnerable in our
society.
Being born into an unfortunate home
situation or a low-income family should never dictate your fate. Have
a heart and share your love with our children by donating funds,
organizing an event, or providing a service in aid of the NCVO’s
1.6-million-dollar goal.
All the generous hearts are encouraged
to email ncvo@ncvo.org.ky and
become part of the “Many Hearts for Little Hands” network of
individual and corporate donors.
