Cayman: Hurley's Media celebrates International Women's Day with a female takeover

On Friday 6th March, for
the first time ever, Hurley’s Media will be celebrating
International Women’s Day by having its female radio hosts taking
over all morning shows on Z99, Bob FM, IRIE and Crosstalk on Rooster
101.
International Women’s
Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and
political achievements of women with this year’s theme being ‘Each
for Equal’.
“At Hurley’s Media we
see the significance of recognizing this important day as a company
which supports gender diversity in the workplace,” said Brydie
Phillips, Marketing & PR Manager at Hurley’s Media.
“We
are taking this opportunity to highlight the talented female
personalities we have working at Hurley’s Media who are raising the
bar for the broadcast standard in Cayman,” said Ms Phillips.
In addition to the female
radio hosts taking the lead across all morning shows, inspiring
females in the community have been invited to come on as guests to
talk about what this day means to them.
“As a mentor for Code
Cayman, an organization rooted in the principles of equal
opportunities for women in software development, I’m excited and
proud to be part of this celebration with Hurley’s Media,” said
Daria Kawacka, Mentor at Code Cayman.
This year, International
Women’s Day falls on Sunday 8th
May, however Hurley’s Media will be celebrating on Friday 6th
May.
“Tune in to your
favourite Hurley’s Media radio station on Friday to hear from women
in our community who are helping to forge a gender equal world,”
said Ms Phillips.
