Her Excellency Governor Jane Owen; Premier Honourable Juliana O’Connor-Connolly; President of the Cayman Islands Veterans Association, Andrew McLaughlin; several veterans and other stakeholders will be in attendance.

Background

The commemorative celebration for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings on 6 June 1944. A beacon will be lit in keeping with the longstanding tradition in Britain during that time and to signify the light that emerged from the darkness of war.
