A poem for Mother's Day

From Joan (Watler) Wilson
I know Mother's Day has blown by and at my age 88 (plus) time is like a hurricane.
However, I had a lovely Mother's Day and I hope you all did, too.
I was so very touched by presents and a poem from my gorgeous Granddaughter, Christina, who I hadn't seen for a year, as she is studying at a University in England. She is on a break now before she returns.
The best present I had was this poem she wrote for me and after some thought I have posted it for you to share with all you mothers like me. I shall treasure this for ever. It touched my heart.

An Island Treasure
By Christina Jackson
My Grandma's love is a special thing,
It's warm and gentle like an evening on her backyard swing.
She spends her day with simple grace, on her Island by the sea,
A life that's wild and free.
Friends from afar and wide adore her smile,
Her arms and fingers adorned with bangles and rings of gold,
She has a style that goes the extra mile.
As I treasure every hug, every kiss, and every hullo, I hold onto every memory so clearly,
Especially the 'I love you'. It is always said so dearly.
MY GRANDMA IS MY TREASURE, AN ISLAND'S TREASURE.
