We're thrilled that the U.K. Court of Appeal has ruled that the government's inhumane plan to send people seeking asylum to Rwanda is unlawful. Our Executive Director shares her thoughts:

"I welcome the Court of Appeals ruling that the U.K. government's plans for asylum seekers are illegal. It cites our concerns of inadequate measures to ensure trafficking victims are protected from further harm, particularly due to the extremely short time limits proposed. However the concept of off-shoring itself was not ruled against – our fundamental concern with these plans. The attempt to pass on its responsibility towards refugees and victims of trafficking is morally, politically and even economically wrong. It is an attempt that has no meaningful grounding."
