UPDATE: Prison Officer Formally Charged

UPDATE (2 March):
The Prison Officer who was arrested during the joint operation on Wednesday, 28 February, at HMP Northward, has now been formally charged with Misconduct in a Public Office and Supplying Drugs (Ganja).
He appeared in court yesterday afternoon, 1 March, and was granted bail, pending a Grand Court appearance on Friday, 15 March.
Initial Release (29 March):
On Wednesday, 28 February, during a joint operation between His Majesty’s Cayman Islands Prison Service, the Department of Public Safety Communications, and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, a Prison Officer was observed smuggling contraband into HMP Northward. The Prison Officer was subsequently arrested on suspicion of the offence of Smuggling. He was transported to the CI Prisoner Detention Centre where he remains in custody pending further police investigation
