From Krysta Bisnauth, Freedom United

Next week, two American states will decide whether slavery should be abolished with no exceptions.

• Katharine Bryant, Director of Operations at Walk Free, a leading anti-slavery nonprofit that publishes the Global Slavery Index. For the first time, the latest GSI takes an in-depth look at the 13th Amendment’s exception clause and its role perpetuating forced labor.

• Jeronimo Aguilar, Policy Analyst at Legal Services for Prisoners with Children, a Californian non-profit which organizes and advocates for communities impacted by the criminal justice system and co-sponsor of California's Prop 6 [1] ballot measure.
