Hope for survivors following landmark judgment

Law & policy

Landmark judgment could see trafficking survivors granted the right to remain in U.K.

The U.K. High Court ruled this week that trafficking survivors seeking asylum on the basis that they risk being retrafficked in their country of origin should be automatically granted 'leave to remain' in the country. This ruling is significant as thousands would be enabled to work, study and access welfare services. Freedom United is calling on all survivors to be granted secure immigration status so that they can rebuild their lives.
