Cayman: Cocaine Found & Woman Arrested Following Traffic Stop

Shortly after 12:00AM on Saturday, 6 September, officers on patrol on Godfrey Nixon Way in George Town observed a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of the road. Officers activated lights and sirens and stopped the vehicle nearby. The officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle, a woman age 47 residing in George Town, who appeared intoxicated, and subsequently arrested her on suspicion of DUI. She was later breath-tested with a result of 0.314%
A search of her person was conducted and officers recovered multiple packages of suspected cocaine, along with a quantity of cash. She was further arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
The matter is currently under investigation.
