SYNOPSIS

Isolated showers will continue across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours in association with an upper level trough over the northwest Caribbean. Radar images show scattered showers in and around the Cayman area moving towards the southwest. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricane Jerry. Which at 4 a.m., Jerry was located near 18.4N 58.7W or about 290 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands moving west-northwest at 16 mph with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. THIS HURRICANE POSES NO THREAT TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS.
