Synopsis
Cloudiness and isolated thundershowers along with fresh southwesterly winds and rough seas is expected to continue through the next 24 hours as Hurricane Irma lingers over Florida. Radar images show scattered showers north of the Cayman area moving northeast. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricanes Irma and Jose. At 4 a.m. Hurricane Irma, a category 1 hurricane was located near 28.9 N and 82.6 W or about 35 miles east southeast of Cedar Key Florida. Irma is moving towards the north northwest at 18 mph with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. Further information can be found on Hurricane Irma as well as Hurricane Jose at www.nhc.noaa.gov.
