Johannes Hahn put in an impressive performance in his European Parliament hearing as he dealt with a range of questions from MEPs testing his suitability for the EU budget portfolio in the next European Commission. 

MEP Siegfried Mureşan, the Vice-Chair of the EPP Group, described him as the right person to be the Commissioner for Budgets and Administration.
