Shortly after 8:00AM yesterday, 9 January, officers responded to a report of a collision on North Church Street, south of Wahoo Close, involving a pedestrian and a burgundy Honda Acty pickup truck.

Emergency services attended the location and the pedestrian was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and remains in stable condition.

The driver of the Honda, who was uninjured, was breath tested with negative result. The matter is currently under investigation by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit.
