Cayman: Grant Thornton Cayman Islands leadership team expands with two new senior hires

Global accountancy, tax and advisory
firm Grant Thornton is pleased to announce its continued growth in
the Cayman Islands with the appointment of two new Directors,
expanding the firm’s leadership team.

Joseph Ferruzzi joins the organisation
as Director and Co-Head of the firm’s US Tax Practice. Grant
Thornton Cayman Islands’ Tax practice was set up mid-2019 in
response to growing demand, and further to its success, Joseph joins
Chris Willemse to lead the service line. Joe has over 18 years of
experience working for some of the biggest names in the industry and
returns to Grand Cayman after spending the past ten years back in his
native home of New York.

Sherri Fleming joins the firm as a
Director in our audit practice, specialising in the audit of
alternative investment Funds. Sherri brings with her nearly 20 years
of experience in the audit industry, the last 14 of which have been
in the Cayman Islands. Her role as a Director sees her leading audit
engagements, building and developing client relationships, coaching
and mentoring her teams, and taking part in industry related webinars
focusing on the evolving landscape of asset management in the Cayman
Islands.

Greg O’Driscoll, Partner and Head of
Asset Management at Grant Thornton Cayman Islands said ‘we are
delighted to welcome two new industry experts to our team. We have
seen significant growth in our Funds practice over the past three
years- which is now complemented by our US Tax services offering- and
the addition of Joe and Sherri further enables us to deliver our
ambitious growth strategy. We are thrilled to welcome them both and
their wealth of experience to Grant Thornton.’

The new appointments maintain the
firm’s stronghold as the islands fastest growing professional
services firm.
