DCI IMPLEMENTS CHANGES, CLOSES BUSINESS COUNTER

The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) wishes to advise the public of changes that are being implemented to ensure the safety and health of employees and customers.

Effective today, Friday, March 20, 2020, the business licensing counter will close to the public until further notice.

A Drop-box system will be in place for all applications as follows:

  • Drop box system is available at the Government Administration Building between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-4: 00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • Documents must be placed in a sealed envelope with applicant’s name, telephone and email information.
  • Cheque payments made payable to the Cayman Islands Government will be accepted.
  • No cash transaction will be accepted at this time.

Members of the public are reminded to use the government online platforms,www.eservices.gov.ky or www.dci.gov.ky to apply for or renew a trade and business licence.

They can also email info@dci.gov.ky for trade and business and other licensing information.

The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) wishes to advise the public of the following:

  • Counter
    at the Government Administration Building will be closed one hour
    earlier to the public each day, starting Wednesday, March 18, 3:00
    p.m.;
  • The
    Trade and Business Licensing Board meeting scheduled for today,
    March 17 is cancelled and has been tentatively rescheduled for
    Tuesday, March 31, 2020; and

  • DCI
    is
    unable to guarantee its usual express services for trade and
    business licence applications.
